    Printed webbing?

I'm curious what everyone thinks. We ran a few samples of printed webbing today and this is what came out:

    Flecktarn poly webbing.jpg

This is the same 1" poly webbing we have HERE, but in Flecktarn print.

It will take some doing to get things working smooth and efficient, but I think we can make this happen. The printed webbing that's on the market now leaves a lot to be desired IMHO. The companies making them also aren't in tune with the outdoor community so I doubt they'll be asking what we want anytime soon.

I ran the numbers and think we could do DOUBLE-SIDED (this is important as most stuff is single-sided) for about $12 per 25 ft. Plus this is just a sample. We could literally do any print, any number of colors, etc...

    What do you think???

With my earth-tone-everything attitude, I'm not one for "hey look at me! I'm different!" But this is cool!! Even just a solid color to match/compliment the hammock would be nice.

$12 for 25' sounds ok. I assume no sewn loop or anything; just straight up webbing?

I like camo so my brain goes there first, but we could do solid colors or anything else sure. Just for comparison, the only high-end camo webbing we have is 1" Multicam and that runs about $28 per 25 ft. Big difference.

We can design our own patterns and avoid all the licensing, middlemen, and high order minimums that drive up the price. Just talking webbing.

No problem. Being just 1" webbing I wouldn't be worried about having anything fancy like multicam.

I think it's a great idea to compliment what you already have going with OutdoorINK. The customization options down to details like this continue to set this idea apart from anything we've really seen before.

I couldn't promise I'd personally pick any up as I already have an abundance of straps, patterned and not, that I'm quite partial to. However, if you were to continue the current theme-ing you have going with these prints, I couldn't pass on purple dragon scales or a black/gold/grey/white woodland camo ;-)

Also, I think you're very reasonable at that price point. You're still around the price of other quality dye-subliminated patterned webbing that I've used, so no complaints there.

Love the idea. You guys are so innovative. I'd be up for some to match the dragon scales.
I would rather be in the woods... my dog would rather be in the pool. My wife thinks we are both nuts.

    I like it.
What about printing with reflective or glow in the dark ink? That could make patterns even more interesting. See one pattern during the day and another at night.
How about printed text like " Hang your hammock here!", "Remember, a 30°angle", "Don't forget about me!", "I speak for the trees!"...
Maybe partner with Dutch "Does this bling make me look lighter?"
