Interesting, my neighbors keep buying awnings with bug screens for their decks. They last a few years and they replace the whole darn thing. Every time I see one on the curb I humiliate my wife and take any ripstop nylon and bug netting. Not perfect but it's sure priced right.

This weekend will see the completion of an under hammock and a couple sets of snakeskins.

The loofah thing didn't work out for me. I unstrung it, stretched it out to test how strong it was, and found out it wasn't strong at all. It ripped, and very easily too, from both ends. Guess I won't be doing the snake skins.

This guy makes good tarp skins, although he usually only has a couple in stock but there are new ones added all the time. And he makes Customs if you contact him.

By all means, let's argue about whether or not a hammock will hurt a tree. All the while ignoring the fact that there is an island of garbage the size of Texas floating in the Pacific ocean. Or how about the fact that over 75% of the world's nuclear reactors are leaking...

I bought a single snake skin from this guy and the quality was excellent. I'm looking for another single/set so I'm going to contact him again.

I've dealt with Dan several times on skins and sacks and they are always great! You want something special tell and he'll go out of his way for you.

I have bought two skins from Dan for my tarp. The first is a single 12 foot sleeve that you pull the length of your tarp/hammock. I think it works better for your hammock as the hammock material is not as bulky. I had to really heave to get the tarp covered. I now have two 7 foot sleeves that I put on the tarp, and pull one from one direction and the other from the other direction, so they meet in the middle. This covers a Kelty Noah 12 and makes it much more manageable. My next purchase from this site will be lots and lots of stuff sacks, which are also reasonable.
