Well... I guess everyone has their opinion on this topic, but I'll add that I'm 320 and my hammock of choice is Dutch's 1.0 Hexon in single layer. It's a great backpacking hammock. I also have one of his in the 1.6 Hexon, which holds me very well, and another of his in the 2.4 Hexon, which doesn't budge when I get in it- all single layer. Unless you plan on holding up a car with it, you don't need to even consider double layer in the Hexon material at your weight.
I hate it when people accuse me of lolly gagging when I'm clearly dilly dallying...

I'm 250 and have 2.4 hexon single layer and I agree with John Mark - very little stretch. Which is exactly what I was looking for. I get a nice flat lay with my HW.

That's the consencus I believe, yes. Some people prefer stretch, but low weight is for weight savings and not comfort. That's what I've picked up from reading anyway...

I am a larger guy, also looking at the single layer Hexon 2.4 for the same purpose of stopping stretch. I find, as the humidity goes up especially, I slowly sag overnight, up to a few inches. Mostly right at my butt too.

You guys with the 1.6 Hexon feel well supported though? I am open to the idea of the Hexon 1.6 material.
The ground is hard, and full of rocks...
