I think you're on to something there with the hot tent concept. I can picture it in my mind, too bad I'm thread injector challenged.

I also think it would be cool to make a tarp that is wide on the windward side and shorter on the other side to put in porch mode. Anyhow I put together a vid to show it off and show the amount of coverage you can get from one piece of fabric. There is no center seam on this tarp and there is no seam sealing. The Xenon Wide is available at www.makeyourgear.com and we will be offering it in a kit version. Everyone I have shown this too so far has said I should offer it on Dutchware. So what do you think? Should I offer this tarp as a product on Dutchware?

    I'll test one for you.

My extra wide tarp over my Hexon 1.6 wide hammock. Covers quite well.

Ok, it's been a couple weeks, and since I have a no sewing skills, is this extra wide asym tarp going to be available at the House of Bling, aka Dutch? I've really enjoyed this thread and look forward to seeing it as a new offering. Perhaps in the next 2 weeks?

Yes it is. We just moved the shop to a much much larger facility. I have been moving for the past two months and things still aren't in place but we are ready to start developing products again. This is an easy one and is next on the agenda. I dare not put up a time frame though. It will be soon.
    Peace Dutch

Wise man Dutch. A time frame not met would likely cause an invasion of hammockers armed with trekking poles and hammock trebuchets. lol. Keep up the good work.

I like asym tarps. With silnylon, I use a ridgeline under the tarp to prevent cupping. I've wanted to try sil-poly, and now I may do so - not for an asym tarp, but rather a super-ogee to use with bridge hammocks.
