Watching the meteor shower from a hammy

I just finished setting up my hammock between two pilings on the dock at the marina where I live. Bug spray on I should have a good view. Almost a clear sky....

I'll be watching it from work. Luckily I work outside. Sky is pretty clear here also.

Watched for 15mins, didn't see any. Probably too much ambient light amid the broken clouds. Have a blast for me!

just spent the last 30 min. and saw two lightening bugs and maybe 1 meteorite falling NE to SW. The local news said that @ 4 AM there was going to be 200/hr. falling in the eastern sky. I think I'll set alarm, so I can open my eyes and watch. Hope it don't rain now- ?

it's only 11 am here, but we'll be setting up tonight. Weather forecast isn't exactly helping though, we're not really expecting to see anything.

Let the dog out at 0500 and saw one go by while I was waiting for her. I wouldn't see any from a hammock.... I'd be asleep too quickly.
    Good luck,

I saw quite a few, but by 1 I was nodding off. Called it quits at 2:15. I didn't have the uq and with the breeze last night, I felt my back getting chilled...

All set up at hanging rock state Park in NC for the weekend. They've even got a viewing platform set up and ready to go....

I was out from about 1:00-2:00 Eastern this morning and saw 24, even with a somewhat restricted view - best showing ever for me. Tonight may be even better.
If you can, get out there - it's worth it.
