Why does my UQ make my hammock uncomfortable?

I have a WBBB xlc, and a HG 0* Incubator. When I use the hammock without the quilt it is super comfortable and I have no problems sleeping. When I use my UQ it makes the hammock feel tighter and less comfortable. I tried to search for this on google, but I could not find my specific problem. Any advice or threads related to this would be greatly appreciated!

I forgot to say I have tightened the primary suspension to eliminate gaps. Just in case that is important.

Have you tried to loosen the primary suspension to see if that helps?
Many over tighten the HG Inc to eliminate CBS when it might not be needed.
In some cases the head to foot is not adjusted correctly and your butt is sitting up on the leg shelf (creating a huge air gap at your back) instead of down in the deep part of the UQ.

You might have gaps because the netting pull outs are too tight and the quilt is held by the netting above the zipper and/or the shelf. Loosen the main quilt suspension and try it with the netting pull outs detached. If it helps to eliminate the gaps, reattach the pull outs with less tension. I have a Phoenix and have the same problem. The quilt would be a better fit for the WB at 40" wide instead of 44" (Incubator).

Another option would be to sell your Incubator and buy the Wooki for a perfect fit .

^^^This makes sense, the BB seems to be a slightly different animal than a regular gathered end. My Incubator took some adjusting before I got it right.

If you should decide to sell..........

I did try without the pullouts, and it made it more uncomfortable, but with less gaps. I am seriously considering getting the wooki, but I am not ready to totally give up yet. . .

I did loosen it up a little, but I will loosen it more. I did not think about the contoured quilt. I probably had gaps because it not in the right spot. Thanks! I will test tomorrow and post the results.

I don't really know, but if you got a friend to help you, you could lay comfortably in the hammock and have your friend adjust the underquilt till the gaps are out.

That is a great idea! Thanks. I will have to wait until this weekend, but will definitely give that a try.
