    Question for NX270 owners?

I've been playing around with my new WBSF tarp and my nx270. I took the poles off the hammock and tried them as spreader poles on the Superfly and they seem to work just fine. Now the question. Has anyone consider putting grommets close to the area on the Clark where you install your poles, in the nylon of the hammock? I have a go camp hammock where they run ridge line through a grommet then under the bug net and out another grommet to hold the bug net up. I did this same thing to my ENO jungle nest and it changed the entire lay, plus gave me a ridge line to hang stuff inside with me. So on wondering if this would work with the nx270.

I have the NX and I'm not sure what you are trying to do or where. The nylon by the poles being off on the sides I'm not seeing how a ridgline would work. If you mean the thin support materials at the ends I definitely don't see it being strong enough. If the hammock is hung correctly the bug net sags until you get in them is lightly taut. ??

If you are looking for an inside the bug net ridgeline to hang items from there are 2 nylon tabs at each end that you can install a small 2mm cord to. Attach at the foot end with a mini biner and use a mini figure 9 at the head end to adjust taughtness of the line.

But only tighten that up once you are in the hammock.

I've been using the shock cord inside for a year. What I'm thinking is a ridge line at the base of the sleeves for the poles through a grommet inside under the bug net and back out behind the lower pole sleeve so that if I decided to use the poles on the Superfly I would have a ridge line to still support the bug net.or use it to hang stuff even if I was using. the poles on the hammock. It would be like any other ridge line on any gathered end hammock, end to end. Figured it would save carrying extra poles just for the tarp.
