Some interesting stuff for hammockers too

    http://sectionhiker.com/outdoor-reta...-gear-roundup/

Among things a hammock stand and a pad with wings for in the hammock.

I don't get that Klymit pad with wings... or rather, I suspect Klymit doesn't get diagonal laying.

The sawyer foam filter sounds interesting. Lots of good stuff to keep an eye out for in the coming year.

I figured it'd only be a matter of time until someone tried marketing something similar to a Turtledog stand. At that price point though, it's still far cheaper to just build one. Plus, with your own build, you can obviously get whatever size ridgepole you want.

Guess that 30% uptick in the Hammocking Space is getting noticed.

I think it's maybe to keep the skeeters from biting your knees and elbows through the Bug-net, like if you sleep in a figure 4, or with both arms over your head, because I can't see any other reason to want the wings... If you read his blurb he mentioned that he'd want it for his knees especially after a day of hiking. I rather suspect he has no clue about hammock camping in the least and just thought it sounded good.

Hmm, keeping bugs away sounds plausible... but your second part sounds even more plausible.

I'd buy one as I'm seriously short on time and this would be far more transportable than the one I've already made so being able to grab something off the shelf can be good but at that price point, especially by the time I get it down here, I'm not so keen.
