15-91's are the best of the older Singers IMHO. I would go $100. You can find good ones for less... But they are few and far between...

I got my 15-91 for $20, my 403 for free, and my vintage Kenmore for free as well. All in cabinets and only needing clean and lube ... I say keep looking.

I got my Singer Quantum 2623 for the tiny sum of two new machines I bought it new for my lovely wife years ago. When she wanted a new Bernina for quilting, I got her former favorite workhorse.
I'm still getting to know her. But so far she seems to be a good one.

Just picked up sewing machine number 3, a White 2134 for $20CDN from the Sally Anne thrift. As best as I can tell works super awesome.
