I'm very excited for you! I assume you got another palace to replace your old one?

My MacCat Standard has worked out splendidly for me, and it's quality made.

No, going to patch the 8 very tiny holes & use it in winter only! I got the mid size one. I'm sure it will take some time to get used to this (to me) very tiny tarp! But I'll adapt.

Well I sure hope he sends you the right tarp and hopefully it's not all covered in dirt and hair like the wrong one he sent me was. It's been over 2 months since I place my order with no reply from Brian even after I sicked my credit card company on him.
By all means, let's argue about whether or not a hammock will hurt a tree. All the while ignoring the fact that there is an island of garbage the size of Texas floating in the Pacific ocean. Or how about the fact that over 75% of the world's nuclear reactors are leaking...

Just a quick update on the tarp. I ordered my OES tarp on July 15th and got it yesterday Aug.13th. The tarp is beautifully crafted and the seam sealing is great. No complaints here. I'm pretty excited to get it out and test it.

I dont know why he just doesnt notify people in advance that your tarp order might be up to 3 months wait. A huge part of eliminating complaints is setting proper expectations. I honestly considered one of these tarps, they look great, but the unknown of when it will arrive keeps me away.

I think once you get past your fears, you'll realise it does a fine job... or vise versa.

I bought a Maccat Deluxe SilPro without any problems. I picked the brown one and it was delivered relatively quickly. Somehow, after a cold night in Yosemite, my tarp got two pea sized holes in it from the embers my fire was spitting . Regardless, the tarp is nice hahaha

IT CAME, IT CAME & IT IS HERE!!!!
Wife went to PO Box this afternoon & there it was!
On close examination, it is Brian's usual (to my experience anyway) flawless work. It is not quite what my eyes see as Coyote Brown, but I think I like the darker brown better. I am testing it tonight, I think it's supposed to storm most of the night, or not, as in SW Ohio: "don't like the weather, just wait a minute" Our weather people can literally say whatever they want, no one believes them anyway cause our weather is so unpredictable. LOL
So, anyway, I have all of the cord on it I feel I need, with figure 9s on the ridgeline tie-outs, in brownish camo of course. :-)
My plan tomorrow, if there is ample light, is to hang my Palace behind the new tarp & show size comparison & post the photo here. FYI: the new tarp looks like a postage stamp to MY eyes. But it do measure out to what I ordered, I think....... Didn't put a tape measure to it yet, will do so tomorrow just to reassure me.
