    I was looking at that bug net, and I couldn't bring myself to trust it for some reason. I ended up settling on a zippered bug net from wilderness logics.

    I might try out the nexus next time I need a quality bug net though. It sure does look interesting.

    That's an interesting design with some real advantages. To be fair, the weight should include talents stakes and guy lines for the bug net to keep it crisply sealed up, as is shown in the website video...

    You can tie it out to the lower portion of the tree if a couple of Ti shepard stakes are too heavy! Also as there is little strength required a small stick would work.

    A very good point. The weight savings is certainly attractive -- even with extra stakes figured in; I was just being consistent for the sake of the gram weenies out there...

    I'm sure there are some key details, but at first glance it also looks fairly easy to DIY for about half the price.

    I haven't slept or on mine yet but my fronkey inspired design feels like very adequate bug protection to me.
