Im kinda bummed for 2 reasons:

    1) mine will take still a week or so to get made and shipped - i.e. waiting sucks

    2) I'll have to wait even longer for cold enough temps to even really test it much - waiting sucks

I'll gladly take photos - measurements and post a video once I get it. My wife works at publix - maybe her manager would let me come in and camp in the walk in fridge at the deli

Just read through this entire thread after watching Brandon's video.

Seems like the utter simplicity of this (somewhat mysterious) design and the way it fits the BBs defies needing a video. IT JUST WORKS.

Just a matter of time, for me, I think.

i'm looking for a warm weather set for MR XLC looks like good timing might have to get the 20° right on Brandon. Just wondering if you are watching these posts would putting a looser bungy on the end take care of the really warm weather? Just watch a user video and discovered another advantage no shoulder bungy squeeze that drives me nuts and the more you raise the foot end the more you migrate to the head end and the more you get the bungy squeeze. I have always preferred laying in my hammock without a quilt because of that shoulder bungy squeeze it's a huge advantage i think. Where's my wallet screw the exchange rate.

An extender of some kind would loosen it up and decrease the efficiency, figuring out the exact length needed to have some contact and not hanging completely loose under the hammock would be the hardest part, i'd start with a 2 or 3" extension and make sure the rubber band is still used so you don't accidentally stress anything. This exact length may be differnt for different users because some people are heavier and the hammock stretches more than for other people

At what temp will the rubber band freeze and loose it's elasticity? The rubber bands on my 0 Lynx failed the first year at probably -5F. Have replaced with smaller bungie and have not had a problem.

I hope I never have to find out at what temps the bands freeze

Brandon explained before that he used the rubber bands because he already had them. They're used on the Lynx and had no problems.
