I suddenly feel compelled to buy an XLC just to have this quilt. ugh..... never going to save for retirement if folks keep releasing awesome gear.

Brandon- Looks great and I'm gonna get one!

One question, though: what's up with the rubber band attachment at the foot? Looks like it's just designed to fail, and most likely late at night in the pouring rain etc... please help me understand the thought process and R&D!

    Thanks!

Looks good! I like how it uses the net ribbon on the side to hold it in place.

It is the same bands we use on the Lynx, they will eventually dry rot, but it is easily field replaceable and we're sending a spare with each quilt

Just curious about this: why are so many measurements (dimensions) missing on your underquilts?

I would find it helpful to know measurements and there have been other comments about this as well.

    Thank you.

The description mentions the dimensions of the insulated portion: "It covers the whole bottom of the hammock but only a portion of that is insulated, with the insulated area being aprox. 44″ wide x 76″ long and tapering towards the feet."

The inner layer is basically hammock sized, 60x132 or 60x120" (aprox)

I do not see the other comments asking about the measurements though

Great looking UQ, it's like adding a 2nd layer to the hammock. I do have a few questions regarding design and performance.

    1) Concerning design, many folks find gathered end hammocks sides can be floppy and add knotty mods to alleviate that as well as the under cover sold by 2QZQ. Given that the top layer of the UQ appears more like a GE hammock or under cover is there a means to tighten up sagging sides or has that been taken care of with the length of the sides relative to the hammock?

    2) Are there any areas where shock cord or other elastic material is incorporated in the product such as around the perimeters of the insulated portion of the quilt other than the foot end rubber band.

Looks like a great product, I hope you sell a boat load of these!
