    Multi-Purpose Magic Webbing

On the way to the beach with Abiggs, her hood popped open completely on the interstate. She had a minor accident a few weeks ago and as a result, the hood wouldn't latch. It was secured with HD zipties, but it actually got enough wind under it to break off the plastic part of the front bumper where it was connected. Luckily, I packed 3 sets of hammock straps and was able to use two of Dutch's webbing straps to tie the hood down perfectly. Who knew? Dutch is the best hiker ever AND he saved us from having to call for help!
    Thanks hammock gods.

Bummer about the hood - Kuddos for a thinking out of the box solution.

Kevlar 2.2 and a roll of cuben fiber would suffice
