    Bug net advice

I am new to hammock camping. I need to acquire two bug nets for a camping trip next week. I am not tied to an ultra light setup but don't won't to go as heavy as the mozzy setup. My hammocks are 11 footers so any advice would be helpful. I just recently added Amsteel ridge lines to both my wife's and my hammock if that makes a difference. Newbie needs help! Thanks

Fronkey style net from Dutch if you are leaving after Wed. of next week. If you are leaving earlier than Wed. then you will be hard pressed ordering something online unless they can express mail for an upcharge.

I'm very happy with the bottom entry net from SLD. http://www.simplylightdesigns.com/ca...roducts_id/492

Jared is very fast, but I would email him with your deadline to be sure it would arrive in time.

I use the Fronkey style net from Dutch myself and recommend it.

If you are in a hurry you can make a simple HUG bugnet in about 1/2 hour. It works, but is hotter than the Fronkey style due to being closer to you face and you need to keep the TQ/UQ on for their bug protection (permethrin treating the hammock helps).
Use real bug netting - using the walmart window sheers is way too hot in the summer.

I have all 3 of these (Fronkey/HUG walmart sheer/HUG bugnet) so these recommendations have been field tested.

FWIW if you're not up to DIY or don't have the materials available, I think you can order a couple of the Derek Hansen HUG bug nets from Arrowhead Equipment and expect to get them pretty quickly.

Exped makes a really light one, is on sale at steepandcheap.com right now in their camping bargains bin.

I own a hammock bliss net that is substantially heavier at close to one pound, but it's bomb proof.

Alternatively https://www.warbonnetoutdoors.com makes quality products, and you may want to consider theirs.
