I will be coming down late Friday night myself. I was going to bring a spare tarp to use as a canopy, but with the burn-ban and the lack of rain I don't think we will need it. I know that we can carry something like an alcohol stove or a propane stove - but that seems really limiting. I figure a wood gasifier would be under the ban as well. *sigh* looks like boiling water 1 cup at a time.

What is everyone else doing for cooking? Alcohol, Propane?

I had forgotten about that! They did learn a valuable lesson that day: the most dangerous thing about the wilderness is the visitors!

FYI, you are correct about the wood stove.

Well... two of my most favorite things about camping out are sleeping in the cold weather and sitting/cooking around a campfire. Since both of these seem off the table for this weekend, I think I'm going to sit this one out. I hope y'all have a blast and I'll see you at the next one.
