Y'all are crazy to go out in this weather! Walking the dogs for a mile and a half to and from the neighborhood park has enough bugs and feels like swimming through the air. I'm jonesing for some trail time, too, but ticks, snakes, and poison ivy can keep the 99 degree/99% humidity woods to themselves- I'll wait, thank you.

Bumpity bump. The leaves are starting to change, which means my hiking season is getting close! I'm ready for a weekend in the Sipsey!

Me too Jim, it's been way too long. I'm sick of summertime. Bring on the cool weather!

Yet another week in the 90's is making me long for fall/winter for the first time in years. We need some rain to get those water falls flowing again as well.

There's an outside chance that my wife and I will be in Alabama sometime that weekend. While I doubt we can actually stay at the hang, we would like to maybe stop in and say hello. And there's an ulterior motive on my wife's part: she wants to see a bridge hammock in person. So if anybody there will be hanging in a WBRR or something similar, please let me know so my wife can beg you for a short trial. She's not been comfortable in the gathered end hammocks she's tried, so I'm thinking a bridge might do instead but would love to let her try one before spending anything.

So....that's the sneaky part of why we might be coming by if our plans hold. Looking forward to it, if we can make it happen.

Please come, if y'all are in Al. and don't stop by for at least a visit we will talk trash about you! So, now you don't even need a sneaky reason to swing by. There should be at least two WBRRs hanging that I know of.
