    Oh it's on! Orders placed...

Placed my orders with Ripstop by the Roll and Make You Gear today. Got the materials for a new zippered bug net hammock and a 3/4 length apex underquilt plus all the misc parts to hang em. Ordered the new poly/dynema webbing to make some tree straps so I'm anxious to see how they work out. Now comes the constant order/shipping status checks.

Just ordered the full length kit with Apex 7.5 myself. Grey 1.1oz calendared outside, blaze orange inside. Also got some extra gros grain and shock cord to do the sides in case the initial suspension doesn't work.

Hope this goes well--next will be a matching topquilt.

I went with black outer and blaze orange inner. I plan on using almost the full length of the material so it will be closer to a full length in the 5.0 oz. I live in Florida so that will be more than enough for year round. The hammock is going to be a grey 11footer 1.6 oz hyperD with black at the peaks and red stitching and red grosgrain for the tie outs.
I'm excited to start a new project. I've been planning it in my head for a while. I'm a little nervous about the underquilt, it's a bit intimidating. But so was my first hammock until I dove in and did it. I love using gear I made myself.
