You could use that or you could get some Martin's 10% permethrin and dilute it yourself to .05%. Will be a good deal cheaper.Works just as good. Its what I have been using for two years and haven't been disappointed.

Your local Tractors Supply Comp. may carry it also but will be listed with a generic name.

I'm down for a hang any time in Florida. Missed the last one because of family being in town. The heat is bad, but I have learned to deal with it. LOTS OF WATER, frequent breaks, don't try to kill the miles when hiking. The plus side is the nice cool breezes we get in the evening. I don't love the heat, but I hate the cold.

I am wanting to get out there but was not liking the idea of doing it in the heat. Maybe I should just do it anyway. I am up for a trip the weekend of August 20th since I won't have my kids and my girlfriend will be out of town (there is no way I could get her out in this heat). I am fairly new at all this so I don't know of many good spots. I am close to the Ocala National Forest but have never camped there.

For the 10% Permethrin, you mix 1oz of the Permethrin to 19oz of water to get the 0.5% solution.

For the September hang, I will start a planning thread in the next few days for weekend of Sept 23-25.

Here is the Trip Report for the "No UQ Hang 2016". Also, look up the trip reports for last few years and also for Summer's Last Gasp Hang. Many folks want to make it but sometimes the heat makes them change their minds.

Like you said, We are extreme on the hot side instead of the cold side.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you
