Did this weekend even happen? It went by way too fast. Thank goodness for pictures. I realized this was my one year hangiversary! Last year at Harold Parker was the first time I met any of you and stayed the night at a group hang. I guess that was enough to get me hooked! What a fun year of hangs with you all. Thanks to everyone for continually making this hang one of my favourites. My usual trip report thanks:

    - Thanks to Uncle Gil for my gifts!!!! I actually feel better about handling a knife now with such a sturdy grip, and I can't wait to go hiking with my new backpack!!! You're the best uncle ever!! <3 Also thank you for the special kielbasa, because it was exactly what I wanted to eat on this hang and it was absolutely delicious.
    - Thanks to Jerry for the chorizo and meat pods! They were delicious! (And I like how people adopted the term "meat pods" too)
    - Thanks to John for all the hammock tips and tricks, and for swimming with us instead of hiking on Saturday. We still burned calories, I swear. Also, thanks for the little hammock fan! It's so cute!
    - Thanks to Brian for making cooler corn. I forgot how much I loved corn on the cob, and somehow the cooler steamer added extra appeal.
    - Thanks to Chaaaz (as always) for letting me do my own thing on these hangs but still always being there when I need you. You're the coolest dad ever.

I was happy to see all of you this weekend, and I can't wait to see you all again on future hangs. Thanks for being a unique, genuine, fun, and kindhearted group of people. There's no other bunch I'd rather hang out in a storm with.
Ewok: Mischievous but cute, and deep down just really likes to help people.

I only took a couple pics but have one pro tip. I used the white magic clean eraser sponge to remove the tree sap from my straps. Works great and no chemicals used.

===> I think that Jerry has your torches. They worked great, with just enough light without a campfire, and kept the majority of bugs away! Nice!

===> Another thanks for the sap tip, John! The strap I had around the larger Pine (with all the Poison Ivy vines) gummed-up that strap pretty well.

Such a fun time! Thanks for making Mike and me feel so welcome. It was great meeting everyone.

And Gil, thanks for the photo reminder of why I usually run from cameras. I don't remember doing a monkey imitation, but maybe...

For anyone who's interested, I'm heading back up to HP this Sunday and Monday night to take advantage of the time I have off. I may have some space at my site for anyone looking to share. Fingers crossed on the weather.
