Wow, all along we've had North Jersey, Central Jersey and South Jersey. But now there's a West Jersey? Was there a secession I missed?

Where do you normally hike? I'm approximately north central North Jersey. Just back from a quick trip around Schooley's Mtn Park.

Welcome from Snuff Gully. (Insert mental image of kid on the porch with a banjo here.) Buying a hammock is the best thing that you will have done for yourself in a long time. Just don't get all insufferable about it to your non-hammocking friends like the majority of us on here did. (With emphasis on insufferable.) Then get a CPAP machine...makes a hammock even better!

Some national parks have long waiting lists for camping reservations. When you have to wait a year to sleep next to a tree, something is wrong. ~George Carlin

It has been over 30 years but, I still envision all you guys from Jersey as Joe Piscapo.

    Welcome. I'm new here too.

I was in your position once. I was researching and researching. There are so many great hammocks and tarps and suspensions and everything else out there. I was so confused by all the choices. I wanted to do as much research as I can so that I could get the absolute best. But then I realized that absolute best is so dependent on the person, that reading won't actually tell me what is the best for me. So I decided to just get as much experience as I can.

One day I found an ENO Doublenest and Suspension system for about $40-$50 total and I decided to just buy it. I told myself that even if I didnt use it for camping, I can always bring it just for daytime use to lounge around in. It was the best decision of my life. Of course I eventually upgraded my hammock. But I was so glad I decided to just get a hammock (any hammock) and just try it out.

    Pippin: What about breakfast?
    Aragorn: You've already had it.
Pippin: We've had one, yes. What about second breakfast?
