Bridge hammock Tarp Idea

So I built a modified version of Grizz's Ariel, I'm loving it but now I need a good tarp. I was thinking of making a silnylon tarp that would go across the top extend slightly past the sides and then have two fiberglass rods that would attach to either edge to form a half circle over the hammock. Then the tarp would lay on top of this to make a dome. I have webbing sewing on either edge so making a small pocket to hold the fiberglass poles wouldn't be a problem. I don't like fussing around with tying my tarp off every time I throw my hammock up. And like the idea of an integrated tarp.

Has anyone done this before? Any suggestions on how to go about it?

I built something like this for my bridge.

I used wire pulling fiberglass rods from harbor freight for the poles.
