I bought a sea to summit personal bug net and needed it on a recent trip.Problem was we had two people without them. Before I buy two more is there anything better since I bought my bug net 10 years ago. I see they make them with insect shield now.

The Dutchware bottom entry bug net is what I use. There's also the HUG half bug net.

I picked up a simple drape-type that wraps around and zips up. Its okay but tends to dangle on me. Then I picked up the Grand Trunk one with the spreader bars, actual floor that can be staked no less, and never regretted it. Yes, its heavy for the gram weenie set and I'd like to find better/lighter bars but I love it. It hangs well away from me even in a wide 2-person hammock, the floor is great for putting snacks, cooler, etc and keeping them bug-free not to mention giving you a spot to take your shoes off without dragging your campsite into the hammock. A bit of bulk and weight are the only bad points and that is if you planned long backpacking trips. Car, kayak, canoe, etc? Not an issue.
I see. The S2S with insect shield is is a really nice head net. Here are a couple other options ...
