    Too Hot To Hang

As it has been so hot and humid here ( its like hitting a brick wall when you go outside ); I have been busy in my spare time with DIY projects like making tarps, stuff sacks and doing hammock mods while thinking about cooler weather.

Finally could not stand it so I set up a hammock in the backyard this afternoon under a pecan tree and made sure I positioned it to catch the max breeze as a major thunder storm is rolling thru the area just to the north. The winds were making the hammock rock back and forth and while listening to the thunder in the distance I managed to fall asleep for an hour until The Terminator came out to check on me. Glad she did as I was sweating from the heat.

Amen. It has been hovering close to 90 here in NEO for the past few days and, unfortunately, for the foreseeable future.

Low 90's here every day. No real rain for about the last 6 weeks. The grass has been dead for at least a month and the trees and shrubs are beginning to look pretty bad. I am really looking forward to fall...

It was 90 or so in TN with a heat index of 103 ( about 83% humidity). Oh and a big thunderstorm rolled thru.

I'm kinda surprised there hasn't been an "ice pack hammock" made for those days when it's just too hot to hang. It'd probably be on the heavy side, but do what ya gotta do to stay cool and comfy.

It's getting just right here for staying in We've had .6 of an inch of rain since May 17th so needless to say it's bone dry.
