Paul, sorry to ask again, even though common response is no, but would you recommend seam sealing? I only ask because you offer the service of Professional Seam Sealing "to ensure a leak free ridge seam".

is this totally unneeded, possibly a good idea, or just something to quiet the nervous nellies?..

this is an excellent question. I think I assumed they would be but you know what they say when you assume.

I took my new UGQ Hanger tarp that I bought off Massdrop out last weekend for the first time in North Georgia.

It rained all night but I was high and dry under my tarp. I already own the Winter Dream but wanted to get this one for warmer nights.

Excellent tarp at a great price.

With proper setup, i.e. continuous ridge line over the tarp or split ridge line the tarp will be water tight in 99% of situation with a tight pitch. A "TIGHT" pitch is key to a proper set up. Running the ridge line under the tarp will increase your chance of leaks as the actual ridge of the tarp can be staked off center resulting in ponding against the seam. Sealing is offered for peace of mind...

Congratulations! Glad I got in on the previous one...

(Now I hope you organize a drop or group buy for UGQ tarps in Multicam silnylon: choice of Hanger 11, 11WB, 12 or WD 11,12... I'm sure folks would snap them up!)
