    Bugnet question

I recently purchased, what appears to be, a DIY hammock from a pawn shop. I got the stuff sack, hammock, suspension (whoopies) and bug net for what it would cost to buy only the stuff sack new; so, I thought, what the heck. Anyway, my question. Most of my hammocks have an integrated bug net. This one has a separate, loose, bug net. How do you recommend it be used/attached so that it doesn't just blow off. I'm sure I could come up with ideas; but, to avoid trial and error I thought I would post the question. Thanks in advance.

Depends on the style of bugnet. Can you provide pictures?

Is it a cocoon style with draw strings on each end with a zipper in the middle?

A pawned hammock. Nice. Yes, pictures would help the veteran hangers give you guidance.

A pawn shop actually took in a hammock? And a home made one at that??? Your gain is always a welcome thing. Next time I step into a pawn shop I guess guitars and amps are going to have an added item to look into...

O.K., here are the pictures. The first is the hammock hanging. The second, although difficult to see the netting, is just the netting draped over the ridge line. The last picture is a close up of the netting itself. It is simply a rectangular piece of bug netting material.

Are there pockets on the corners or the low hanging sides? If so just put your glasses/cellphone/small rocks in to weigh it down. If there are not pockets put some in by folding up the corners a smidge and sewing them in.
