    Question packed size hammock comparison?

Can someone point me to a comparison of hammocks when they're all packed up?
Some side by side picts would be perfect. Or maybe they're all just about the same size anyway.
I'd love to see some of the ENO hammocks beside the some Blackbirds, SLDs, DH's, etc.

Also, any fabric suggestions for someone who wants a hammock that packs up tiny? I'll bet just comparing fabric weights will tell the tale, but maybe there's some dense fabric that weighs more but takes up less space.

I presume you're familiar with how the ENOs pack up? Thing is, they pack into a hard little ball. Most of the others you mention come in cylindrical bishop bags that will look larger, but may squish down as you need them to in the pack. Of course, some netted hammocks will be truly bulkier than the un-netted ENO.

I've got a longer/wider single layer 1.1 hammock that does have a tight little sack that is about half the size of the Single Nest balled up. My double layer SLD Streamliner would probably ball up comparable to the Double Nest. A single layer WBBB 1.1 would probably be about the same. A double layer WBBB 1.7 would be significantly larger.

There's really not that much difference between comparable hammocks, but I'd say given the same type of tight sack enclosure, the ENO SN & DN would be on the larger side of things - compared to similar single layer no-net hammocks that you might see or hear of here.

Shug, that Woodsman Lite seems deliciously tiny!

Dakotaross is right about the ENO's packing up into dense little balls. No squsih there. Kinda hard to judge volume of these things. Thanks for the estimations.

    Good points from dakotaross.

My WBBB packs loose with the included sack. It can easily be squished in your hands half that size with no effort. It won't stay like that in your pack unless you really cram it and it's held by other gear. I guess what I'm saying is it's fine to toss it in and pack other stuff around it and it doesn't take up much space.

My Grand Trunk has a pouch sewn on. It's harder to get it packed since I leave the suspension on and it wasn't intended to to that. But it's a nice compact "softball" when done.

I don't really prefer one over the other.

Do the skins aid in ease of setup for the WBBB XLC. I've been thinking of getting one but wasn't sure if it was worth it.
