I got the cuben sleeve for added protection from rain and water crossings while inside my pack, and setting it up during the rain if I had to. Yes I have a tarp and a cuben pack liner for that matter. But I like to set up my hammock first.... As to setting it up the sleeve does not add or take anything away time wise to set up, how ever it does make it easier for me to take down avoiding mud, thorns ect, and secure it back into my pack.
Another reason I got it is that when I'm in camp and not using it I can minimize my visual foot print and keep it simi stowed till use.

Did you say earlier that you leave an HG Down Pillow in the Hammock when you pack it in the sleeves? I have tried this with a S2S Aeros but feel that may have been what caused a slow leak. I am waiting on a replacement, but not holding out much hope. That means my next purchase is the HG Down Pillow. May look at the Sleeves for the Hammock at that time as well.
Yes, I leave my pillow inside my xlc stuffed in the ridgeline oginizer and slide it to the head end so it is the last thing inside the cuben tube and I roll it up around it. It would pack a little smaller if I took the pillow out but I also like to keep things simple and together so I don't forget anything.

FWIW here's a photo of a packed-up Simply Light Designs Tree Runner 11-foot single-layer hammock made from Argon 1.6 nylon next to a soda can; this beautifully made, super-comfortable hammock weighs about 12 ounces in its sack.

Aragorn: You've already had it.
Pippin: We've had one, yes. What about second breakfast?
