    Completely fold-able hammock stand

Hi, lately I have been working on my hammock stand, which is completely fold-able, and easy to move due to the wheels.
When I was browsing around for idea's, I didn't find any stand that was completely folded, always some part was sticking out.
So I thought I will share mine here with you, maybe someone finds it useful.

Well done! Thanks for sharing! I wonder how my wife is going to feel about one of those in front of the TV...

For the living room i have two hooks bolted into the ceiling, and when we want to use the hammock, we just hook it on.
And when not used, unhook it, and no one will ever know a hammock can hang there, unless they watch the ceiling and see the hooks... :-)

That is very cool. I might just have to build one of these. Thanks for the post! I haven't wanted to build a stand up to this point because all of the designs I've seen until now have been really bulky and look like they're annoying to store.

Well done! I haven't watched the video yet, and it might tell us this, but what wood did you use? I build custom furniture and I'm thinking ash would be good for much of it and something rot resistant for the parts that touch the ground. Finish it all with spar varnish. Great design! Maybe you could draw out plans and dimensions for us?

Your getting fancy with it. I was thinking cheap 4x4s for the frame and pressure treated for the legs, with maybe a boiled linseed finish.

Well, you are right. I usually do "get fancy with it" because of what I do for work! I tend to use higher end materials because I have them available all the time. Normally I wouldn't spend extra money on something like that, but if I have the stuff, why not go fancy? Lol! It would be heavier, but stronger and not flex as much. The design above needs to take careful consideration of fairly straight grain wood with no knots at all, as those are weak spots in the wood. You don't want that failing! I likely would laminate say 1" boards together to get 2" or whatever dimensions he specifies. Stronger that way.
