    Thank you Campcrafter! I tend to use what I have laying around when I build fun projects like say, a hammock stand or whatever. What I have laying around is usually fancy hardwood! Making buck saws right now out of Maine ash and the stretchers are going to be Cherry, curly maple, or Birdseye maple. The tension wedges will all be curly maple. I'll probably post here when I get some done. Here is what they look like. This was my one hour rush prototype that doesn't fold. The new version 2.0 will fold to cover the blade...

    The lowest I've used my DD UQ is around 40, with a snugpak topquilt. Perfectly cozy, I think it cousld go down a bit more maybe. Don't think I would go below freezing though without extra insulation, liner or something.
