Any interest in a Suwannee river trip early 2017?

Wanted to find other hangers that may be interested in a 5 day 4 night river trip from Fargo Ga to White springs Fl. It's roughly a 56 mile trip. I'm be done this trip twice before and is an awesome experience. Most remote part with only a few take outs if needed. Usually park at Florida's Stephen Foster State Park and pay and outfitter for the ride up to Fargo. Cost has been $100 split between the riders I believe up to 8 per van. The dates would vary a little due to water levels to take advantage of good currant speed to make less paddling and more relaxing. Must be able to load out for full trip with your canoe or kayak as no civilization till back at vehicles. Just wanted to throw this out there and see if there is any interest.

You got it. I will keep this thread going until we get a group together then we could start a planning thread. Or have an Admin rename it for us.

I should add if you've never been to Big Shoals It makes the best Place to hang for the last night. The sound of the rapids at night are great.

I'm also interested. I did a Suwannee trip a few years ago: White Springs to Suwannee River State Park. Would love to do this section too.

Depending on the dates, I'd be interested in the float. Have a kayak.

Teaching schedule is a bit inflexible but spring break is the second week of March. Not sure of your meaning with "early 2017".

Would be interested in hearing more.

Several of my paddling friends have been talking about a trip like this for a while. We've done the Santa Fe down to the Suwanee several times. Once you get into that area though you're looking at a lot of houses and dodging big boats (no fun). A wilderness trip farther north sounds like a blast.

Alright now we are getting a group! Right after the first of the year we will watch the river level and do the best to plan dates that works for all before the level drops.
FYI I'm all about planning real meals and no dehydrated junk that's for hiking. I'll pack a small Dutch oven and freeze some meat we'll work out the menu as we get real dates and commitments. If someone has special dietary needs we can surely do that as well. I just like the allowance of more weight having boats.

Never tried this before but may be interested. I have a kayak but it is a hobie with the drive located below the kayak and worked with your feet. They require a depth of about 18 inches I think. Would this river support? Thanks.
