Hello fellow hangers,
I am brand new to hammocking and hanging around, but after two weekends of lounging in a warbonnet blackbird, I will have to say that I am sold on this. Just getting back into backpacking (was a car camper for a while!) and general back into decent shape. I have lurked here for a bit and just wanted to say thanks to everybody for posting great information! Maybe see you on the happy trails of life.

Welcome! I'm a newbie, too, but have spent a few nights indoors in my hammock (with TurtleDog stands) and can't WAIT to take it camping next week.
I'm also an Okie, grew up in Green Country and lived there until my husband's job moved us to OH. Miss it except for in the summer. I don't mind the highs in the 80s.
Yeah, this summer is becoming a scorcher with amazing humidity, almost reminds me of my summer in Mississippi! Thanks for the welcome!
Thanks for the welcome, I have been strung out for approx. 2 mos now, and not planning on going back to tents.
