This is a HUGE plus for those of us short-of-leg. But wait, there's more... another advantage of that adjustability is that you can shorten/lengthen the business end of the strap. This is great if you've lark's headed to the sewn on loop or if already made up an MSH, Beckett, etc and need to make a minor adjustment but don't want to undo your hitch...do this with your adutchable! I find this of value when getting the head end of two hammocks to jive for spreader bar use (if I'm not using ti-cinch buckles or spiders).
Why were they discontinued I just don't get it. They were awesome. I have one pair wish I had another.

I suspect that many folks didn't fully understand what they were about. I know I didn't at first glance and just passed them by. Only after watching Dutch's vid about them a couple of times did it finally sink in, so I bought a pair. Immediately after trying them I liked them enough to order more but they were gone from his site. I inquired, so he sent me a pair for free (thanks Dutch!). He said there was not enough demand so he was discontinuing them but had more left, to just ask. I bought two more pair. I don't know if he has more left at this point but it can't hurt to ask. I wonder for the future, if enough folks want them and commit, maybe he'd be willing to make a short run from time to time. They really have turned out to be one of my favorite pieces of bling.

Once they are back on the site I will have to order another pair.Don't want them to ever be discontinued. They don't require sewing and STAY on the strap.

With a spider or cinch buckle type of arrangement, Adutchables aren't necessary. However, try as I might I'm still not feeling the love for spiders and sometimes find it less frustrating to make minor adjustments at the adutchable rather than fight with the spider. It's not that big of a deal of course. Comparatively (to spiders), I find ti-cinch buckles to be, well, a cinch. I'll post a photo of an Adutchable later, if I remember.

Dutch must have taken his vid down, but I found this one. Not a native English speaker, but he tries.

Oh, Wow! NOW I get it! Thank you for taking time to post the pic and especially the video link! I wonder what would prevent a body from using the leftover strap (the tail) to secure his/her pack to the tree?!

Now I'm wishing I had Adutchables!!!

Sure can't figure why you feel Spiders are frustrating. They've been super simple and easy for me to adjust so long as I first lift the load off them...don't have to disconnect my continuous loops from them to adjust them, just support the hammock end so it is momentarily not pulling on the continuous loops, then the spider slides freely up and down the web. I love them!

After I heard that the aDutchables were discontinued, I hurried and ordered the last pair (I know it was the last cause a slight mis in communication, made Dutch think I wanted two pairs but he only had one ). It's by far the best upgrade to my suspension since I replaced ropes with whoopies. I combine it with the kevlar straps and couldn't be happier. With these I can hang my hammock even when trees are very close together, since I can simply adjust the webbing all the way to the Amsteel. Infact a bit further than that too if needed. I've once had to adjust it so tightly, that the amsteel was in the clip instead of the webbing, but that still worked perfectly.

Very glad to hear they're on their way back to the store.
