In park lot now. Drizzling nothing, comin down like no tomorrow! Not supposed to rain, didn't bring rain gear. Amateurs.

The worst of the storm seemed to have passed, so in a light drizzle Mrs sqid (reluctantly) and I left the park lot with Silv in the lead. This was 6:15-6:30. He didn't bring his rain gear either. Not too far down the road it began coming down harder with thunder and lightning resuming. The lightning was the one thing that the mrs was concerned about, and we both knew that at her pace we wouldn't get there before 9 for sure. Silv would have had to go ahead without us. So we elected to head back. Naturally, as soon as the park lot came into view the sun came blazing out. Everything that was not inside the compactor liners was as soaked as if we'd jumped right in the river. Hmm, some lessons learned, so not a complete failure after all.
I presume Silv wound up with a near perfect night after it cleared up.
Yep, five minutes after you turned back it stopped raining and the sun came out. It didn't rain again for the rest of the trip!
