    Finally Ordered My First UQ!

After months of dreaming, saving and arguing with my inflatable thermarest in the middle of the night I finally have ordered my first UQ from UGQ. Stoked! Won't see it until late August or September, can't wait!
No one else I know would understand the excitement so had to post here.

    Congratulations.

I still prefer my hammocks to be double-layered for comfort, durability, bug defense, and the option of running a sleeping pad, but since switching to underquilts, I find them a comfortable, practical, and elegant solution to bottom insulation in a hammock. The fiddle factor -- at least on the two shorty UQs I own currently -- isn't bad at all.

Other than the expense, the biggest trade-off for me in switching to UQs seems to be space inside my pack, but that's a price I'm willing to pay...

We recently received our UGQ UQ's and used them our on the AT for two nights- they were great! It wasn't cold at all but I did find I needed some insulation underneath, the UGQ and a silk sheet was all I needed to stay comfortable.

Their suspension is easy to manage, the draft collars are a nice feature, and the warm downy softness can't be beat! =)

But if you do you can sell them on the message board in a nano second. There's always someone looking for a good under-quilt.
