I have the same hammock but mine is a DL. I am 6ft 2 and I weight 275+. I have not had any of the issues you have reported and I have used several different UQs with mine.

I recently got a SL Netty and have not had any problems with it either.

If you find that the problem is too much stretch in the fabric then look at a BB 1.7 DL in either the regular BB or the XLC ( I own and use a 1.1 DL, 1.7 DL and a DL Multicam BB )
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !

Do you hang yours level; head elevated or foot elevated; ridgeline taut or with some slack? Hang angle?

Reached some resolution. I played with the hang angle, and swapped out some suspension stuff with the result I got a better lay. I also used a camping pillow which gave me a greet deal of support under my legs. I then took Shug's advice and waited until I was really tired, made it through the night comfortably.

4 surgeries, 3 pulmonary embolisms and 2 years later I resolved the issue with the hammock. I did not have the foot end high enough. Thanks to all the helpful suggestions.

Good to read about a problem solved.
    I collect vintage camp stoves.
