Has anyone had luck making soft shackles or putting an eye in lash-it? Not finding a lot of info on it. I found a couple of people that say it can be done but was looking for more info or tips.
Thanks in Advance,

This one is good:

I have done it several times by using the eye of a large uposury need to make the center large. Then I take the end I am going to pull through and remove 3/4 of the threads after separating and purge them through the eye just half way and slowly pull it all the way through.

And this one is nice too.

Splicing 1.75 mm lash-it can be easier with a needle like this http://www.dutchwaregear.com/splicing-needles.html.
Good Luck

I have spliced lash-it many times making soft shackles, CL, UCRs, etc using a needle from Dutch. Check out this thread using the copper core from a coaxial cable as maybe an easier method.
I use a folded over piece of 20 gauge dead soft copper wire (Amazon, Hobby Lobby, etc).
Works great.

I do it all the time and use something like this.

I use a #0 (2mm) double ended knitting needle to separate cord bundles for tapering, to initiate the hole through the side of the cord (for locked brummel etc) and to open the length of bury (it's tight but it does work). To pull the cord through the bury after opening with #0, I use residential copper thermostat wire (18-20ga?) and leave the plastic coating on (lasts a long time). To open the hole enough to just allow a well squeezed eye through, I use a larger knitting needle, perhaps a 3mm but just guessing (edit: 3.75mm or #5 US).

I can't splice lash-it for crap. The small needle from Dutchware is too big in my experience. Little piece of wire is better. Whichever way, I wind up beating up the lash-it before I'm done.
