I've been testing a lightweight hammock suspension over the past few weekends. Dynaglide leader with one fixed loop, connected to Kevlar tree straps with MSH, and attached to the hammock at a titanium loop alien spliced on a Dynaglide CL.
It's a HUGE win from the perspective of light weight, adjustability and low bulk, but after a few hangs I am seeing some feathering on the Dynaglide leader on one end. Like many of you, I color coded the head and foot suspension components, and the feathering is only at the foot end leader. The LA at that end is suspect and today I will inspect it carefully for any rogue burs, correct anything that might be of issue and retest. If I find nothing, I will be abandoning the Dynaglide and will go back to stainless KoLA's and Amsteel. The slight weight penalty will be balanced off by peace of mind.
Can't lie, I'm a little bummed it didn't work as planned/hoped.
