Another variation on the conduit-based hammock stand

After seeing this thread, I took a look around the website that supplied those fittings and found these fittings (low-peak 3-way shed roof corner) for 1-inch EMT conduit. They have a leg angle of about 78 degrees, which is a bit wider than most stands, but I figured I'd give them a shot. I bought two corners and a straight splice/coupler, gathered up some sections of conduit, and put together a stand. I can't convince BBCode to resize the images, so I can't include them inline without taking up tons of space; instead, I'll link to the imgur album that goes into detail and attach the main image here.

    Here's the album link.

    Looks great.
If you put a short piece of 3/4 emt inside the 1" at the coupling it will greatly improve the rigidity of your ridge pole.

I actually have found that the 3/4 EMT doesn't fit very closely inside the 1" size, but the coupling I've got is pretty rigid as is.

It's been a year, how's it hanging? Still like the design? What's worn out on it? What would you do differently?
