    I did it!

I did it. I ordered my first underquilt. I feel like I just fell down a rabbit hole.

I have been the one saying, "I'll keep my pads because they let me go to ground if need be." but then in reality, I live in the south. We have trees everywhere. I will keep the pad around for reason of IF I go somewhere hanging isn't allowed but, why continue dealing with it???

I ordered the Snugpak UQ and should have it by the end of the week!

got to reiterate what shug says here.

forget the ground. unless you have a catastrophic, unrepairable hammock or suspension failure, the ground idea will never occur.

    cheers,

Now you need multiple under quilts and top quilts and hammocks, and etc It is in fact a rabbit hole that is hard to not fall into. I'm about to order my 0 degree top quilt and I'm just getting started in hammockery

Haha I have managed to stick with one hammock for three years. When something is comfy... I don't change it.

But there was this hammock by Dutch and hubby said I was due for an upgrade soon if I wanted...

I've stuck with the pad "just in case" for three years through a challenge to go backpacking once a month for a solid hear, over shot that by 4 months, and didn't ever go to ground so, it was time.
