Hi! So I setup my dutchgear hammock for the first time and it is super comfortable! However, I am unsure if I set it up correctly. If you are head left, do you mean a "wall of fabric" on the right side that essentially blocks your view? If so, yep, normal.

from the sideways pic, I'd say that's normal. Maybe get someone to take a pic from the side with you in it.
My head is to the left and there is a wall of fabric on the opposite side of my head. There is not a wall of fabric by my feet at all.

Yes there will be a wall most of the time. You can usually just throw your arm over the wall to see out if needed. Work the hammock.
Except on bridge hammocks.
