Official thread for this years Western Washington Hang

When: August 12-14th (updated per OP request)

Where: Usual coastal property in Moclips, Wa (20 minutes N of Ocean Shores)

FOOD
BBQ setup for Saturday as we have done successfully in the past. Hopefully will have the new brick/stone cooking station in place by then.

Property
There has been some very big changes to the property this year. The top section where people usually park has been totally cleared, leveled and a road installed around the perimeter. Down in the ever growing hang area we have opened up the center area to make it easy to get around and are removing the piles from previous years, which is opening up a lot more ground and visibility.

All are welcome, if you want to come out but are missing gear or have not hammocked yet let us know. We will do our best to make sure you are well equipped and comfortable. You can also bring a tent just in case.


Directions:
GPS COORDINATES: N47 14.592 W124 12.562

To make directions easier for MOST drivers.
Take your best route to HWY 12 West

Follow Hwy 12 West till your in Aberdeen and it becomes 101N

Follow the signs and stay on 101N through Aberdeen and Hoquiam.
(You will see 2 signs saying 109 don't take them, unless you really like driving down the coast and going slow) Stay on 101N

You will see this sign


And Turn here


Follow that road for 20 miles till you hit a stop sign


Take a Right on 109 and drive 3 miles to mile marker 32


Notice the car.. that is the turn off.
Gate will be unlocked just open it and drive in.
Take the 2nd right and go down the hill, property is on the right.
I will put signs from gate on.

For you crazy Seahawk Fans: That is also the 12's Fan Fest weekend in Ocean Shores..
So you could save some money on Hotels and just day trip it if interested.

Woah that's a little far for me at this time. Maybe some other time I can make it up there, I'm really interested in checking oout other people hammock setups.

I will try to make it. I get back from a two week trip to Yellowstone on the 17th so I'm not sure if I'll want to pack right back up again and head out for another trip, but I would love to meet some fellow hangers and see your setups. Hope to see you all there...

5 of the most reliable people that always come to my Hangs and help and support me have giant conflicts that have popped up. Being that no one has really voiced a for sure yes or no at this point I am going to move the hang a week earlier (12-14th) and will ask a mod to makes the adjustments. I apologize for any issues this may cause with other hangers.. I would feel weird not including these people since they have put a lot of work into making this property what it is.
