This is one hang I wish I could of made (The hangers are very cool people). I will try 2017!

The view from john's rock is breath taking and amazing! So worth the drive from Orlando, FL.
    We'll miss seeing you, Moonbear.

Most of the rowdy crowd seemed to have other commitments. Now who will watch our fire?

Well, perhaps we will catch the chance to see each other again another time.

I'm getting my gear and the chili packed so I can head up soon.

    WNC> 7th Annual John Rock Hang July 20-24 2016

Just got back and getting gear cleaned up and set out to dry. It was another great hang.

Thanks to all who made it. Especially glad that CB made his first official hang appearance since he tried to get famous by hurling himself down the Gorge! I hate that most of the people didn't get to hang around this morning for his triumphant return. Yes, we have pictures, so it did happen.

As always, I enjoyed hanging and hiking with friends, new and old. Gotta hit the real shower (so much less fun than the wilderness shower at Cedar Creek Falls).

Will start a trip report thread tonight unless someone else wants to go ahead and get the ball rolling.

    Straight out of Clayton.

Most physical hike: Grandfather Mountain, NC. Aug 13.

I don't need to make my pack lighter. I need to make my (_*_) lighter.

I was curious what the temps were like. I know what they were like in the low lands.
