I've got a 1.0 hexon 11ft hammock with whoopies and kevlar tree straps, with titanium toggles that weighs in at 11 oz for the entire setup including stuff sack.
Hexon 1.0 11 ft netless with Dynaglide whoopie hook suspension and kevlar tree huggers. Also made a small argon gear hammock that hangs from my ridgeline. Entire set up is around 13 oz.
I am still pretty happy with basic single layer 1.7 or 1.9 ripstop nylon. Strong and durable.
Dutch Half-Wit Hexon 1.0 with Kevlar tree straps and Whoopies. Hammock Gear Cuben Fiber tarp is on the way.
Mountain Hardware Phantom II down for top quilt.
JRB UQ (for temps below 45)
11ft 1.0 hexon halfwit about 10 oz
2.2 kevlar straps w/dynaglide whoopies w/ hooks about 2 oz
zpacks standard hammock tarp about 7oz
DIY climashield TQ 2.5 Argon .67 with a double layer torso patch 11 oz
Diy climashield UQ 2.5 Argon .67 with a double layer torso patch 12 oz
DIY 10ft Hexon 1.0 hammock with continuous loops and 1.2mm techline ridgeline - 5.9oz
12' kevlar 2.2 straps (becket hitch to CLs) - 1.9oz
DIY Hug Bug Net of Tulle - 1.0oz
DIY 0.51oz cuben tarp with doors on one end - 8.0oz
DIY 3.6oz Apex and Argon TQ - 17.7oz
DIY 3.6oz Apex and Argon TQ - 12.4oz
Shelter and sleep system comes in at under 3lbs.
I use an ULA Ohm 2.0 for my pack, with a DIY cuben liner, sawyer mini filter, cat can stove with a titanium pot.
My base pack weight is right at 11lbs. And that includes luxuries like my kindle, a full set of pajamas, a dedicated pillow and a luminaid lantern. If I want to push mileage a lot, I can cut down to around 9.5lbs without much trouble
I use 20* quilts for much of the year:
HG Winter Palace tarp 8.6 oz.
Continuous Ridgeline with Dutch Wasp & hook plus guylines 2 oz
HG Phoenix 20* 15.43 oz.
HG Burrow 20* 18.66 oz.
Dutch Poly D 1.4 hammock with Whoopie Hook suspension 14.1
Total 58.79 ounces
or 3.67 lbs.
If I'm taking the 40* quilts, then my total will be 53.88 oz., or 3.36 lbs. If it's summer, add another 7 oz. for my BIAS Nanobuginator bugnet.
If I take the HG 0* Burrow and 0* Incubator, then my weight will be 74 ounces, or 4.6 lbs.
