First time hammock stand used

made these for my son to use this week as his troop is running the lake front program for cubscout day camp.

Looks great. What is your ridge pole and how long?

the ridge pole is 1/2" conduit inside of 3/4" conduit if my memory is correct. I don't have the length but the fly is 12' long if that helps you get an idea of its length. The wood is 2x3's with a gate hinge at the top. It was made for him when he still had his HH monsoon rain fly that was less than 10' long. Now that he made the jump to the SF it is almost to short from eye bolt to eye bolt. also wish it was a little higher off ground buy with the storms they had Sunday and Monday his gear is completely dry.
