Agree with above. As in that photo, try moving the straps 6" or so father up the tree and lengthen the suspension to keep the ground height where desired. And yeah, perhaps shorter RL (more sag) not longer. Agree with pillow under knees.

Also, alternating your legs in figure 4 (aka ballerina) position can help you quickly find your sweet spot.

I'll post up my summer back yard sleeping rig after I mow the lawn today. It has a ridiculous amount of sag when unoccupied. I can bend the ridge line about 30* with a little effort when I'm in it. For me, it's unbelievably comfortable. 10.5 ft x 63" wide, 1.1 ripstop with an adjustalbe UCR ridge line.

Longer hammock most definitely. Width is ok but, wider won't hurt either. More sag A couple inches of adjustment WILL be the difference in miserable and Awesome. Foot end 6 inches or so higher.

I keep hearing that about the ridge line should be loose. Only thing I'll say is it isn't doing the job of a structural ridge line if it is loose enough to twist between your fingers while in it. Or, you are hanging at an angle steeper than the ridge line needs to be tight. God Bless

Here's the hammock. Of note is that it's suspended at a 21 foot distance. The adjustable ridge line here is set at 114", which is about 90% of hammock length.

The hang angle doesn't look too bad to me. It's not 30 degrees but it's not ridiculously excessive either. However, the sag of the hammock itself looks too shallow for comfort. Maybe the ridgeline is too long? It's a little hard to judge, but if I was standing there I think I'd want to make the hammock droop more, either by raising the straps up the trees or shortening the ridgeline.

Part of that problem lies in the fact that I cannot get it hung much higher. Was planning to raise the foot end about 6", which will max out the height.
Head end is near its limit also. In any case, it's comfortable for my geezerdly self.

Just to avoid confusion, I was responding to the photo from the OP.
    Cheers.
