    Sleeping with a dog?

I recently adopted a small 13.5 pound mini-poodle-mix dog. She's proven her trail worthiness on day hikes and I'm ready to take her overnight. I'd still like to sleep in my hammock, and I think she's just too small to sleep alone outside, even under me & my tarp. I'm thinking I might just try a night with her in the hammock with me.

    Has anyone else tried this?
    Tips/tricks?
    Am I crazy?

Perfect, thanks! None of my searches came up with that.

I'm on tapatalk. "Dog" returned "search string too short," and "sleeping with dogs" and "hiking with dog" came up with huge lists of threads that had little (or nothing) to do with dogs...

Good to know. Even as a so-called "Senior Member" I have trouble searching for specific information on this site.

    Yep, me too.

It's better than the beekeeping forum I use a lot that often won't let me log in, though...

I started taking my dog not that long ago... made a video that might have some tips.

I'm still doing shorter trips until she gets older and I learn more. So far so good.

I slept with a 30lb Boykin Spaniel last weekend in the hammock with me. First time they went on a overnight trip with us and they always sleep in the bed and weren't having it any other way.

    Best Blanket

Found this on the net. I sleep with my 50# mix lab and the only problem is getting up to answer natures call then getting back under the covers. Peace of mind from wild critters. There are occasional bear sightings around my home.
