While unzipping my cover the zipper caught and ripped maybe a 2x3" hole in my bugnet. What's the best way to repair?

Easiest is tenacious tape. REI. 5 bucks.
I think it was youtube channel nemores world said he tenacious taped the bugnet on his cuben duplex a few years ago after mice chewed through it. Work so well he just left it. Depends on how much cosmetics matter to you

Needle and matching color thread, you'll handle notice it afterwards.
+1 on doing the sewing it up thing.
I had a tent door that my 7 yr-old slashed with a knife... [she and friend "thought" there were bears... this was on Cape Cod... in my driveway] [I still have the knife I confiscated].
I fast-fixed with duct tape, and it was a certified PITA when I went back to do the stitchery.

1. Needle and thread (as mentioned)
2. Tenacious Tape (as mentioned) - I've used that in a pinch a few times on tents, jackets and other stuff. It's legit.
