Looks to me like damage from something applying uneven stress to the material.... Keys, watch, shoe... Etc rather than a material defect. Imo, one of the downfalls of light fabric.

With my 1.1oz DL WBBBs I have quite a few spots that look like that. I think it's simply the threads moving a bit. Usually, I can "massage" the threads back into their old places. I figured it's no real damage (no broken or ripped threads).

This is good to hear. Like i said, there's not actually any punctures in the fabric, it just appears as though the weave has been shifted around. If someone else is experiencing similar stuff to no ill effect, I will keep calm and hang on. Although I will certainly be keeping an eye on the area. Thanks!

It officially died a couple months ago. Sat down to test my rigging and I went right through. Luckily I was car camping and had a spare with us. Good luck and godspeed to all the Robic hammockers out there. Mine was not a long live journey.

Sorry to hear about the failure here. Comparative strength and durability of 1.0 ROBIC aside, it is still a thin, ULW hammock material. Outside of a few material flaws, the failures we've seen have all looked like what you're showing. As others have said, this is most likely due to an inordinate amount of pressure in the area where you're seeing the hole(s). This pressure can damage even heavier weight fabrics like 1.6 or 1.9, but gets magnified when dealing with something this thin and light.

Hit us up via email. We want to take care of you and make sure you get something that works better for your next rig.

Already ordered and made a wide 1.6 HyperD 11 footer and an outdoor ink starry night 11 footer for SWMBO. That starry night is fantastic. Love the new 1.6, too.
