Hi
I used to insert the toggle , pull the tree hugger tight, and ONLY then, put the woopie over
the knot.
Last year, i started to:
insert the toggle, and then, instead of pulling the tree hugger tight, i leave it LOOSE.
i put the woopie over the knot, and because the knot is loose, it will slide in.
Then i adjust the woopie, which is easy because it slide freely through the un tighten knot,
and then, if i want, i may pull the tree hugger tight. sometimes i don't bother.
This gives me an advantage:
the woopie will not accidentally slide out of the knot, because it is well stuck inside it.
(i can still adjust the woopie, after the knot is tight)
I do have a Grizz style whipping knot slider, but still, it works even better, by leaving the knot loose.
It also comes off easier, when i take the hammock down.
i was worried that the knot will be less firm and stable, but i have been doing this for quite a while now, and so far it is working great.
...my body is lightweight, though.
please share thoughts and experiences, on the subject
Thanks
